Dreamy Milestone Birthday for a Party Planner

Before becoming a full time wedding and party planner, I was the go to person among my friends if they wanted any creative ideas. From brithdays to bachelorettes to bridal showers, I loved every aspect of it. Ironically, having done parties and weddings professional for the past 3 years, now all I want to do in my free time is relax and do no planning at all. I'm not saying that I don't love my job, Oh I absolutely love it! but as an entrepreneur I try to find the right work life balance in order to be fair to my family, friends and couples.

With that said, for my 30th birthday I decided to plan a intimate dinner for my closest friends in collaboration with my favourite vendors. I wanted the dinner to reflect my style as a planner and who I am as an individual. I started the day by being glammed up by Janet from Ford Beauty. I chose to go with a neutral palette with soft muted colours of pinks, greys and whites but also added a pop of burgundy in the florals and the wine glasses. Judy from Parkette Floral Design created beautiful single bulb arrangements that ran through the entire length of my table. Large balloons hovered over the table were arranged beautifully by Laureign from Sugargirlee. I decided to go with a slate cheeseboard in replacement of a traditional dinner plate so that my guests could create their own DIY charcuterie board. (This was also their gift to take home) The tablescape wouldn't have been as pretty without rentals from Plate Occasions and menus provided by Pink Peony Press

Lastly, to add to all the sweetness of this milestone birthday I had a cake and mini donuts by Jenla Cakes and some candy spoons and candy shot glasses from Candy Cutlery. This of course was all captured beautifully by my amazing friend and vendor Anita from Rhythm Photography. You only turn 30 once so why not enter the next decade in style.
